sounds like a suffer fest

@jack -- not so much, really; one of the neat things about having lightweight skill sets and experience is that you can still go pretty spartan without intentionally suffering. i think the suffering on this trip will come from unexpected terrain/water conditions more so than a lack of gear.

trying the EP1 ?

Just curious. You mentioned using the steripen during the day and Chlorine dioxide tablets at night. Whats the reasoning here?

@Frederic tempted to take the Leica Summilux f/1.4 25mm on this trek and pair it with a DSLR body, it's a trusty combo. @David Smith Steripen during day for fast treatment on the spot and tablets at night because the Steripen is tedious for large water volumes.
