that pipe looks hot - no melting of the tipi?

@Andrew - nope, no melting. The pipe goes through a port in the top that is made of a small square of fireproof fabric, which effectively dissipates the heat before it reaches the silnylon to which it is attached.

Hey Ryan, I am concidering one of these custom made using the 6.5 geometry but 7.5 feet tall for more head room. I think that that size would work best and still be managable to pack. It would be used for solo camping or with 2-3 other people at times. With your experience do you belive this to be a resonable solution instead of purchasing the vertex8 which has a much larger foot print?
